Pushys Gravity Team

The brainchild of Pushys team member, Mitch Mckinlay, the Pushys Gravity Team has been set up to mentor young riders, and to help them push their riding to the next level. Based out of Canberra, with the beautiful Mt Stromlo as a training ground, these young guns are tearing up the Enduro and downhill circuits.

Alongside Pushys Head Mechanic, Will Arnott, Mitch is currently working with two junior riders, Will Granger and Jono Fudge, and one senior rider, Anthony Elliot.  As an ex pro himself, Mitch can provide the type of high quality mentoring required to lead great riders, and it’s working.  The team routinely hits the podium in both the National Enduro and Downhill, most recently with Jono coming in 2nd in the under 17s category at the National Gravity Enduro at Falls Creek.  With their second enduro just starting up, the team has already partially realised one of their goals: to qualify each of their riders for the Enduro World Series, with Anthony making the cut for the 2017 season.  The others aren’t far behind, with both Will and Jono training and racing hard, they hope to be fast enough to qualify by the end of the season.

Anthony is already ripping up the EWS world circuit, finishing in the top 50 riders in the Elite class, even after having a mechanical failure on one of his stages.  Definitely a rider to keep an eye on!

The average week for the crew is a couple of hundred kilometres on the road, and two to three sessions on the trails. The guys ride their own bikes, but Pushys helps kit their rigs out whenever they can.

Starting out with just Pushys backing them, Fox Clothing, Go Pro, Maxxis, Bikecorp, Motion Clothing and Torq nutrition have all come alongside to help make Mitch’s dream a reality, supplying the guys with all they extras they need.

The guys race and train as a team, and know it’s important to make sure they keep having fun whilst they’re on the bikes.  They play, train, and race hard, and that’s the secret to their success.  So if you’re looking for a new riding team to get behind, be sure to check out the guys from Pushys Gravity Team on Facebook and other socials!
