In a world of recessions, depressions and financial stressors out of anyone’s control, unfortunately, hospitals aren’t immune to budget cuts. Pushys Director, Shane Wolki, has joined forces with C3 Cyclists and the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, and has embarked on his annual pilgrimage of riding from Canberra to Sydney to raise vital funds for Fairfield, Cooma and Bega District hospitals.

Each of these hospitals have identified a vital piece of technology they need to continue the life saving work of their paediatric wards, and the cycling team is committed to help deliver the funds for that equipment. With a goal of $40,000, these funds will go towards buying patient monitors, a resuscitation trainer, and paediatric syringe pumps that are essential for the particularly delicate care of sick infants.

Riding over 650 kilometres in four days, the team will be stopping in at all these hospitals to say hello and to help encourage them to push on for this great cause. The riders intend to arrive in Sydney on March 19.

Any donations to the cause would be greatly appreciated, with 100% of the proceeds going straight to the hospitals, as the riders have donated their own time and money required for their journey. The team is currently $13,000 short of their goal, and every dollar counts, so any donations to either Shane directly, or to the C3 cyclists, would make an incredible difference in the lives of many children and their families. Additionally, beyond this particular fundraising challenge, the Humpty Dumpty Foundation is a truly deserving charity, so visit their website for more information on how you can help make a difference or donate at a later time.
From everyone at the team at Pushys,
Thank you.
